Peeling Delux (D’LUXEPEEL) is a medium depth chemical peel that contains a blend of powerful and effective peeling agents that penetrate the skin’s dermis to reveal a newer and fresher skin.
It is designed for everyone from teenagers with acne scars to women who want to improve overall skin tone by lightening age spots, sun damage and softening the fine lines and wrinkles.
How does it work?
Most light and superficial peels only reach the top portion of the skin’s epidermis; therefore, you will not see much difference and may need several peels to get optimal results.
Peeling Delux effectively penetrates skin’s dermis to transform skin from within.
It removes the top layer of the skin, regenerating the skin’s growth by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, and thus reveals a smoother, fresher and younger looking skin.
What is the procedure like?
Peeling Delux does not require weeks of skin pre-treatments by using specific skin care products to get you ready before the peel.
You can receive the peel immediately after the doctor examines your skin condition and confirms that the treatment is right for you.
The procedure takes less than 15 minutes, during which, you my experience a tingling sensation on your skin like a minor sunburn, but it is very tolerable. After the peel, your skin may become tight, sensitive, and tender to touch, but that will begin to subside within 2 hours after you wash off the peel.
The peeling process can start as early as the third day and finishes within one week.
Throughout the week, the irritation and discomfort is very minor and you can maintain your daily routines.
How do I take care of my skin during the peeling process?
Your skin regimen will be very simple during the seven days of the peeling process. Just follow D’LUXEPEEL post-peel instructions, using a gentle facial cleanser to wash the face day and night and a sun-screen with a SPF30 or higher regularly during the daytime. A soothing cream containing hydrocortisone and/or aloe vera will help you reduce any discomfort and irritation if needed.
How often should I repeat the treatment?
Just like any other cosmetic procedures, a regular repeating application of the treatment is necessary to maintain the beautiful skin result. If it is applied as a regular procedure, repeat every 3 to 4 months to maintain the optimal peeling result. If it is used as an intensive treatment for severely damaged skin, repeat every 4 weeks for the first 3 applications to reverse the skin to the normal condition. After that, switch to the maintenance regimen.
Important Safety Considerations
Though the irritation level is very minimal and significantly reduced compared to other medium depth chemical peels, it is common and expected that the skin will be sensitive, red, possibly itchy, irritated and discolored for several days after the peeling solution was applied. Dryness and tightness are also normal.
In very occasional cases, some patients may experience rash, swelling and burning. If this occurs, the patient should wash off the peeling solution immediately with cool water and a gentle facial cleanser to neutralize the skin. Use of the skin soothing cream which contains hydrocortisone will also help reduce redness or irritation of the skin.
